Peter & Charles

Titled A Positive Frame of Mind, the story of these two men began when Peter was feeling isolated and joined an HIV support group called Living Positively. In this great group of people, he met Charles and as they talked and hung out, they discovered “more likes than dislikes” and became close friends. Despite one being white and the other black, they never felt that race was an issue…as good character and heart are most important for each of them. Peter says that Charles is great in the “art of conversation” and the two have been there for each other many times. When thinking about the basis of friendships, they emphasize the importance of being around those who are supportive and have “a positive frame of mind.”
