Dr Henry Kuharic: Pioneering HIV/AIDS Physician

Pioneering HIV physician Dr. Henry Kuharic was at the forefront of the race to understand HIV and care for patients from 1986-1990. Amid a rapid rise in cases and deaths in Seattle, Dr. Kuharic made house calls to his patients, providing support and peace during a time when little was known about AIDS and effective treatments had not yet been developed. His first-hand account is a poignant testament to the pain and love that those living with HIV felt, along with those that cared for them.
