About the Artwork
The AMP augmented reality (AR) app provides a multi-layered experience. It includes narratives, images, and interactive experiences around each of the physical artworks, as well as a virtual tour. A unique element is the fully AR artwork, The Names Tree. While you view this tree created by Novaby, community members read from the List of Names. With each name, a glowing light separates from the tree and floats upward. It is meditative remembrance of those we’ve lost to AIDS/HIV.
The app can be fully experienced onsite (view a preview here), but many of the features can be used remotely.
